Small group excursion to Curieuse & St Pierre islands with BBQ lunch and island landing fee & taxes including - departing from Praslin island (6.5 hours)

Itinerary

• Departure point is located on the beach opposite Praslin airport next door to Black Pearl Shop at Amitie
• Duration 6.5 hours 
• From 8.30 - Meeting point "Your hotel" or you can self drive to our departure point
• 9.30   - Depart from Praslin passing in front of Anse Kerlan, Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio beaches
• 10.00 - Drop off on Curieuse island to spend time & take photos with the giant land tortoises
• 11.15 - Guided nature trail walk /gently hike on Curieuse island
• 12.00 - Creole BBQ lunch & swimming on Curieuse island
• 13.30 - Depart from Curieuse to St Pierre island for snorkeling
• 15.00 - Short stop over at Anse Lazio for snorkeling and swimming
• 16.00 - Return to Praslin

Note: the programme above can change depending on weather and tide. If  snorkelling at St Pierre island is not possible on the day of the trip we take you to another spot

Our Price: €120 per adult / Half price for children 5 yrs to under 12 yrs / Free for children under 5 yrs

Payment: Pay on the boat on the day of the trip in cash EUR, USD, or SCR . Payment by Bank Card is only upon request and after agreed in the booking confirmation. Payment by Bank Card incurs a 3% bank processing fee. There is ATM at departure point

Small group of 2 - 14 people per tour.  All our providers are licensed and certified by the local health authorities 

Free hotel transfers is provided. Hotel transfers is included in the price. Pick-up time will depend on where clients are staying and it can be from 15 to 30 minutes before departure time. Sometimes we may run a bit late for reasons beyond our control.

Note: FREE transfers from and to  your hotel within 5 km of departure points only. Departure point is on the beach opposite Praslin airport next door to Black Pearl Shop at Amitie. For your own convenience and for health safety reasons we prefer that you find your own transport to the departure point.

Boat boarding

Boat embarking and disembarking is done on the beach and your feet will get wet. Therefore, if you have wound dressing or plaster on your feet they will get wet and it is not advisable to go on the trip.

What you will expect

You will experience what's above and below the ocean of the islands surrounding Praslin with our beautifully designed boat. (Depending on weather condition, some activities may be done in different order)
 

We will start with snorkeling in the morning around the beautiful St. Pierre island. Right after we are going to visit the famous Curieuse island where you will go on a small moderate hike for around 40 mins and have the chance to see the giant tortoises in the wild and take nice photos with them.

The boat will bring you directly to the entry of Curieuse island. Right in front of the entry you can see spread all over around the grass the famous giant tortoises. The moderate hike starts from the point where the tortoises are, go around the coast through lovely mangroves and a beautiful path with a nice wooden bridge and finish at the famous Doctor’s house, where a typical creole BBQ lunch is going to wait for you. 

On the way back the boat stops at Anse Lazio beach for more snorkelling and enjoying what this beautify beach offers.

What you need to know before you go

This activity is designed for families with kids, people of different ages, those that can swim or even cannot swim.

Each trip is carried out with total respect towards nature, its preservation, and our top most priority is the safety of our clients.

There is a 45 minutes walking trail on Curieuse island as part of the tour which involves a bit of climbing. Check with the crew on the day if you have any medical condition that may prevent you from doing the hike. You may have to carry you small children at some points.

Bring a bottle of water to start with, comfortable shoes/sandals to walk on the island and beach accessories, your own mask & snorkel if you have any (for health reason), waterproof bag, rain jacket, towel, reef shoes and sun cream etc..
 

Please note that the tour depends on the weather conditions. Your safety is important to us. We will not take you out at sea if the conditions are not free from danger!

NOTE: We provide snorkeling equipment (we prefer that you bring your own, if you have any for health safety reasons).

Vegetarian food can be organized on request (rice, vegetable and fruits)
